The Heavy Pets have been around for a little more than 2 years. Their fan base blows all of the other listed bands out of the water, as they have shown the ability to be a local south florida band selling out top notch venues in other states, most notably the knitting factory in NYC. they have (estimate) about 80 original songs, and play all sorts of genres, including, but not limiting to, rock and roll, jazz, funk, reggae, and improvisational jams. perhaps they were kept off of this list because they are no longer considered a "local" band due to their constant touring, but they still play a few shows every month here in south florida and should be up for consideration. check them out!
