Sports Yoga M² is gentle yoga to fit your life building on the total body experience through a progressively challenging program. Incorporating the western traditional techniques of Hatha Yoga for it's toning and strengthening benefits as well as compatibility for a more physical approach. Sports Yoga M² builds on muscle tone, weight loss, flexibility and mental clarity for better body coordination. The growth exists in gradual improvements through strengthening, balancing, breathing, meditating and confidence for the whole body. Sports Yoga M² class is a way to exercise in a relaxing environment which helps eliminate competition, for you and from other students. My goal for each student is to enjoy the journey, using positive energy as inspiration toward the discovery of a new body. If you can change your mind, you can change your body. Sports Yoga M² compliments the discovery of the mind, body and a gradual evolution of your spirit. Learning about the physical body is one part of your journey and is practiced through postures (variations of yoga poses) and asana's (yoga poses), based on muscle group and overall effect on the body. Verbal guidance is given to help work through the tension build-up while holding poses, which can be from a range of ten (10) seconds to two (2) minutes, growing into a healthy stretch. The student develops the tools to improve strength, flexibility and confidence. The second part of the journey, is the art of clearing the mind. The practice of a calm mind is essential for balancing and meditation, at the end of each class visual meditation techniques helps to detach from the body for further relaxation of mind and improve your focus during your meditation. Every student has a different life path and when you gain trust of your mind and body, the very beautiful miracle of your spirit comes to a new level of living and you realize you are the source, the life, the happiness, and the unlimited dreams to reach the light.
