The Norton Museum of Art.
The Norton Museum of Art is one of the Southeast’s premier art museums—a 65-year-old flagship institution known for the quality of its extensive permanent collections, traveling special exhibitions, and innovative educational programming. Since it’s founding, the Norton has been widely recognized for its masterpieces of 19th- and 20th-century painting and sculpture by artists such as Monet, Gauguin, Matisse, Picasso, Hopper, O'Keeffe, and Pollock. Shop in the Museum Store and have lunch in Café 1451 at the Norton.
The Norton Museum of Art is open Monday–Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m. (Closed Mondays from May through October and on major holidays.) General admission is $8 for adults, $3 for visitors ages 13-21, and free for Members and children under 13. West Palm Beach residents receive free admission to the Museum Collection every Saturday, with proof of residency. Palm Beach County residents receive free admission to the Museum Collection the first Saturday of each month, with proof of residency. An additional charge may apply for special exhibitions. The service level for groups is phenomenal. The Museum is lucky enough to have a wonderful Chihuly ceiling, the permanent collection is wonderful and the variety of the special exhibits is great. The food in the cafe is terrific too.
