The McKenna's place on Jog road and Melaluca in Greenacres is just not what it used to be. The quality of the food and service went downhill quick after Chris McKenna sold it. I was greeted by a hostess that smoked cigarettes (who I later found out was the owner's wife) and she sat me at a disguisusting table. The seat was covered in a sticky substance. The bathrooms were so groce that my wife had to use the Caribbean Restaurant's facility next door. Our wings were raw and took a half hour to replace. The chipped beer mug nearly sliced my lip open. And worst of all, I heard staff members cursing in front of my kids. The 16 year old female server that brought out our main dish dressed as if she worked at a Hooters. Worst experience I ever had with my family, never going back to this place again.
I've had wings at many places, something about McKenna's keeps me coming back for more. It's not like it's around the corner, I take the family for a 30 minute plus drive to fill the craving. The atmosphere, the food and the staff are second to none! Keep up the good eats McKenna's!
Have always loved McKenna's Place. Wish they hadn't sold the one on Jog Rd (it is not the same anymore). So we will be at Forest Hill McKenna'a Place from now on. Wings are awesome, all the food is always the best! Great job as usual Chris!
The location on Forest Hill and Kirk is the family restaurant you've been looking for! Great food; excellent, friendly service; and prices you can't complain about! If you are looking for a place where they know your name, this is it!
